The ticket has been closed, but you can get help by filing a new case" - came from email: case++aazxxxxxxxxxxxxxx@support.facebook.com, and many others over the last 18-plus months. Rinse, wash, repeat, rinse, wash, repeat – open case, identify issue, case gets closed, no action to fix, email sent to tell business case is close and they can go open a new case, repeat hundreds of times or thousands – all stopping small businesses from doing business with META, on META platforms and spending hard earned small business advertising dollars with META. If only 100 of those smallbusinessess were to spend $10,000 USD – that would result in a mere $1 million more in revenue. Imagine 10,000 small businesses, now imagine improving that process and journey for them - all of that new advertising revenue. There are thousands of small businesses being negatively affected by poor support, lack of support, or open case, identify problem/issue, nothing fixed, case closed – the business is told the case is closed, and for them to go open a new case. Complete disrespect to the small business owner, their staff, the value of anyone’s time, etc – and then the huge loss of business advertising revenue for META and shareholders.
In this modern IT world, can you imagine opening up an IT Support case to fix a problem or to report where a hacker used your ADS account to advertise fake FB business pages, and for that case to merely be closed no action taken, and have to open multiple cases to get someone anyone to pay attention and review the Fake FB business page that is scamming multiple small business advertising ADS accounts? or Having to open multiple cases to report nasty porn in public groups and on public pages - only to be told by META Pro support - that isn't their job. They are not enabled or empowered to do anything about it – they have written and stated that repeatedly to small businesses and other META verified members via support case chats, etc. Can you imagine having to open over 50 cases, and for those cases to be merely closed, and for the business to get an email that then tells them the case is closed! and for them to go and open a new case for the same thing - rinse, wash, repeat, wash, repeat, rinse, wash, repeat....
Give META Verified members and META Verified Business accounts the option of PAID USA-based professional Support to open cases and work to fix/resolve the problems in less than 18 months or less than 2 years' time. $400 per year to start or $200 per case for PAID Professional business support or PAID META Verified Support for both MEMBERS and Business. Failure is not an option, or is it? Shareholders want increased value for META shares. The current processes have been and continue to fail so many small businesses, and their voices go unheard and unanswered by META. At the same time, they want to use and spend advertising dollars with META properly.
Win Win? or lose-lose? Two words might come to mind: "fiduciary duty." Why would the Board of Directors and the META corporation not want to raise advertising revenue from Small Businesses or any valid, verified source? Why would they not want more small businesses to have a better experience with META platforms and grow the largest group of companies to spend more hard-earned advertising on the META Platforms? Why today? Because they are perhaps not informed of the serious bad support or the lack of support, or what the journey is to get support and to fix documented issues and problems causing serious roadblocks in those businesses who want to advertise and sell on the META platforms?
Imagine if you were not on the Board, owned a small business, had a large following by having generated content for the past 18 years on META platforms and woke up to a serious issue where you needed META Pro Support, otherwise your advertising and business would be shut down by META and the AI Bots. I will ask, what can META to better to provide less support for hackers?
Provide more better-trained professionals reviewing reported cases, and to immediately shut down hackers, fake META hacker pages. Work to help small businesses fully recover from all hacker activity, including when hackers compromise business pages, ad accounts, and more.
Recovering and returning META Verified accounts must also be done with also recovering and restoring all ADS accounts to the same condition before the reported hacker activity, from stealing accounts or compromising business accounts, ads accounts, etc. It should not take 18 plus months well over 50 open/closed cases, rinse, wash, repeat to get things corrected and fixed for any small business and yet well, that is where many small businesses have found themselves, or they just have lost all access and no longer have a business on META platforms. Lose–lose–lose all around – except that the hackers are winning that battle. 2FA should no longer be an option.
Negative cybersecurity practices, such as allowing weak passwords or passphrases, should not be permitted. META can do better, but some things need to be enforced and not optional, such as 2FA, which should be required. AI should be implemented to validate IP addresses for accounts that are logging in. Suppose an account is logging on from a different country. In that case, the account must be set to re-validate, and the owner must prove ownership, especially for primary accounts that are business owners, group founders, etc. Provide a method for users to indicate they are traveling and which countries, so that if logging in from another country is allowed from their list for that period of time and enforce/require 2FA. Email/SMS notifications must be sent out. Any contact information changes must be revalidated and verified via all 2FA contact methods, not just one, as it is easy to compromise one but not all. Give the account owners 48 hours to prove who they are, versus allowing hackers to make quick compromises and allowing those hackers to immediately change/update email, phone, etc, contact information or 2FA capabilities. I am sure your cybersecurity professionals all have ideas on how to stop the hackers. It is a fact that solid usage and enforcement of 2FA will stop 99% of all hackers. Start looking to enforce and require 2FA for all accounts – most are used to using 2FA for bank accounts, utility accounts, and much more, at least in those more industrialized countries. If a business owner, an ads account administrator, a group founder/admin/moderator, a page owner, and others, all should require 2FA. For anyone/thing to create new business pages, pages, or groups, that should also require META Verified status and 2FA. Too many groups are selling “false” items and scams, and the process of reporting such scammers and scam behavior fails to gather facts, and 99% of the time, it fails to shut down scams. Now, groups are being created to identify scammers and scam groups and warn META users. Why should it take multiple cases to shut down pornography being posted in open public groups? Because the reporting and flagging of accounts doing bad actor behavior rarely works, if ever. Then you open cases, report the pornography, blatant and often part of scamming people out of money as well – nothing is done, no action taken, you of course get the notices – but even after “2ndreview request” – nothing is done.
META can do better, META must do better.
